The use of moderate doses of aspirin can reduce the risks of developing certain types of cancer

According to the researchers, the use of low-dose aspirin may halt the expansion of some types of cancer.

The oncologist made the discovery, investigating cancerous disease of the prostate, breast and gastrointestinal tract. As it turned out, the use of low-dose acetylsalicylic acid in the healing process defective tumors may minimize the probability of death from twenty to fifteen percent.

According to lead project specialist Peter Elwood from Cardiff University, is more evidence of the positive impact of taking aspirin on improving the development of some varieties of cancer diseases. Already written about minimizing the probability of cancer after the use of small doses of acetylsalicylic acid, but the principle role of this drug in the therapy of oncological diseases remains poorly understood. These information proved decisive in the intention to conduct a comprehensive study of the scientific environment and special works on the subject.

A group of researchers collected data from five different experimental and forty-two observational research. The data showed a positive effect of acetylsalicylic acid is not just on reducing mortality from cancer diseases, but also to minimize the risk of its spread around the body. Scientists point to the desirability of carrying out additional checks of the hypothesis about the benefits of low-dose acetylsalicylic acid in the treatment of certain varieties of cancers.

Although the use of this medication may cause bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, the researchers found no data that would indicate mortal danger. In connection with the desirability of additional audits in 2016, the scientists urged cancer patients to consult a qualified medical professional, together making decision about taking small doses of acetylsalicylic acid as part of the therapeutic course.
